It is the weekend, and you still have a day to work a few things down your to-do list. Life isn’t always amazing, but for the population around it, some things are always a mood booster. People just cannot resist reacting to those things, and they feel better.
Somehow one of those few very impactful things is food too. While food makes the life better, the garnishing and the plating makes the food better. The food, the taste, the colours, the presentation, the crockery, it all sums up to be an attractive meal to the eye.
And as I often say:
“Life is sweet,
But the cherry on the cake top beats all.”
Food goes straight to the tummy, but good food has a way of traveling to the heart first. And that good food, with that cherry on top, is always a great deal more appealing.
Through the weeks that we go to work and have to come back home to prepare the dinner, I sometimes work just like the name fast and furious; home series, mind you
But even when the kitchen is a huge pile of spices and vegetables scattered around, sometimes I tend to think about the outlook of my food as not quite appealing, and that is where I trick in some plating hacks!
Just like the restaurants, I have a fancy for dining, but with a hectic schedule, that is quite difficult. But when it comes to making my family eat something up without saying they ate it five days ago too, I try to present the meal in a different style. The plating and the garnishing are some little tricks that any cook can use and then sleep content with the day’s work! 😉
I have been working through some ideas, and these few little pointers from my life’s little tricks on the kitchen counter will give you an insight on how I try on my presentation skills in food. Just a few little tricks to know, and all you ladies and gentlemen out there can be super quick in winning out the hearts on the table!
The starters hold greater appeal, for they take out 30-40 percent of a person’s hunger.
Although I just invented it at the spur of the moment, the mint leaves and the fancy glasses really pulled off!
The more the color appeals, the more the mind stays on how the dish looked!
When the sweet looks a bit off, sprinkle off some dry fruits and nuts, and the mind says, Go!
The bed time cup of caffeine, although the cup-cake is seldom there, it does soothe the foodie’s mind, the pairing.. 😉
P.S: keep up some low key fancy dishes about in the kitchen, my lovely cooks, and the plating ideas will come accordingly!
To the foodies!
