Guess what I have in store for you today? Umm yeah giving up 😛 .. I am here to talk about the most anticipated dining venue Carnival by Tresind, yes the time is almost here, mark your calendars everyone 3rd September 2016, will be the official opening of Carnival, located in the heart of DIFC, Podium Level, Burj Daman tower. This September – This is the place to be. Thank You Team Carnival and Fasseeha to let me go through the experience exclusively and as first few.
Why is it so special, because it has a STORY, not only savor your taste buds but to tantalize your heart. Let’s rewind and plunge back to our childhoods, whether from Pakistan or India, Chef Himanshu and bar manager Sherine John touched everyone’s emotions equally.
As soon as I entered, I was mesmerized by the intimate setup and interiors which brought back so many childhood memories, be it a kite festival or autumn in our country, orange lights were right on spot to give us a warm welcome. Escorted by their joyed staff member, me and my friend Saima (my date for tonight) were comfortably settled in our seats, me on the sofa of course 😉 … To tick all the boxes, we were accustomed by water bubbles, which was amazingly cute !!
Let’s come to the FOOD now 😀 … I am sure you all are well aware of delicious scientific dishes at Tresind (they are yummy and interesting, aren’t they? Well, Carnival has a whole new dimension to it – enticing nostalgic approach, as each every single dish will take you back in time. Our very first welcome drink, made me a bit emotional, no not my hormones 😛 … It’s actually a childhood drink from my dad’s time, and is only served in our Village in Pakistan – Chiniot, it brought back so much fun loving memories with my late grandfather. <3 Just so perfect to start my dinner while savoring my grandfather’s presence around me.
Starting our culinary journey with an edgy bite called Happy Halloween – Pumpkin stuffed Kulcha (steamed bread), I have never tried pumpkin, as I never thought I would like it, but this one my friend was sumptuous and a must try from their menu. Followed by Makhan Phal, Jalebi Chaat the menu was adding food fun to our experience.
One thing I would like to add, for me it is extremely important that any restaurant I go to, their servers are well aware of what they are serving and helpful, and I must applaud out loud for our server Vipan and Assistant Floor Manager Nishchay for taking so much care and guiding us through out the menu. And not to forget their smiling and exciting faces, was such a treat because they were excited to share their efforts with us.
Honestly, every single bite on the menu was worth savoring, but here I would like to say, “You need to hit down the restaurant yourself to have an actual fun, if I will give out all the tasting merry here that would not be fair!” So Make sure you go there and try their tantalizing sips and bites. Pre-Book here, otherwise you know what I mean 😉
If you have tuned in to my Instagram you must have noticed, me having fun with a Popsicle haha yah, I told you Carnival by Tresind is all about taking you back in your childhood memoirs, and that’s what it did to me. We all remember eating flavored milky Popsicle wrapped in white wrapper probably that most tastiest luxury of that time <3 and you can find that nostalgic taste here. They hunted in various cities and finally found the right packaging for a right chilly slurp.
And then Yes Biryani is a must. But this one with a variation 😀
I am sure you must be thinking, we ate so much, yes my love we did 😛 and we couldn’t stop either as every bite relates to a memory which is worth tasting and cherishing. Good food leads to a happy life *happy dance*.
And just in time for dessert Go Bananas, Toffee Panacotta, Pie Tuile, Ilaichi Banana Ice Cream ‘Banoffee Pie’and The Betels, Betel Leaf Macaron ‘Sweet Paan’.
And its s u r p r i s e time … We were then told that you have to wait for the last surprise which is not only yum to taste but fun to try too… Palate Changer, Miracle Berry served with a slice of Lemon. Yes for real, a changer, below shown powder is a miracle berry powder which is a science experiment within your mouth 😀 ..Here’s how, (again Thankyou Vipan and Nishchay for guiding us) what you have to is, take a spoonful and spread it across your mouth, then take a lemon, and enjoy the sweetness of lemon – yes you read it right, this miracle berry turn sour into sweet, super cooooool right?
Oh My My, I just realized while taking you through the journey, I’m super hungry again, and feels like going back to enjoy the delicious menu once again. Well, lets wait till 3rd, we are almost there..and enjoy it together <3
