We live in a world full of dilemmas and trust me these things are our own creation, our own caused difficulties upon ourselves. I always say, life is beautiful and we all should live one; with our full capabilities. Today, I am here to talk about an interesting topic, which is vastly discussed these days, but always has been a controversial one – Holistic Lifestyle.
What is Holistic Lifestyle? It is a way of living, that aims to achieve an inner balance of mind, body and spirit. A great way to connect to your inner self and gain a spiritual insight to one’s self.
It is indeed a controversial topic, but let’s not go there, and talk in general about my perspective. Holistic Lifestyle has many definitions, many dimensions. For some it’s a woo-woo, for some it’s spiritual and holy but for me, it’s a wise choice. You ask me why? Well, what can, better than, living your life in a broader picture, living life as wholly and being fully aware of the impact of your actions.
There’s no harm in it.
Often mis-interpreted to religion, spirituality or even fake-ness; like all other topics this has been abused in many ways too, but then five fingers are not the same. And different people preaching different things and practicing opposite to it, also arise a question of hypocrisy as well. But we are not here to discuss flaws and clause! let’s stay general…
and make our own choices
I don’t see “Holistic life” just as an exercising regime or staying positive. For me it’s a complete package, in which the most important thing is achieving that balance, which is a necessity in our lives. From eating good to thinking good to treating people good to look good, all in all, these are the ingredients one should have to live a blissful life. Right?
a n d … if it works, then why not?
2016, has been an amazing shift for me, a good positive one. But then positivity and negativity comes both; hand in hand. Yes, that’s true, I have had my days and mood swings too. Learning is always best we can do, right? and that’s what I have done. I always try to absorb positive and let go of negativity, but then I am human too… Lately I have discovered that learning about holistic approach and just reading about it gave me a sense of desirability to try harder, which is why I am sharing all this with you.
Please, don’t think I’m here to preach you something, neither I am here to advise you to just eat salads or hit the gym and I am definitely not writing this to advertise anything or anyone 😉 … I am just sharing my thoughts, which has helped me to carve a better version of me, although it’s just a beginning.
But, I finally took my first step.
Here are a few tips which have helped me to start my journey
Breathe, meeting so many people in the past couple of months from the same genre, I have learnt breathing good helps a lot. Ha-ha, yes, breathing is an integral part and it is for sure, but enjoying your every breathe is an art. So inhale positivity and freshness, and exhale all the negativity.
Add Love, Minus Hate
Drink lots of water, we have been listening to this advice since we are born, but as we grow up, we forget all these essentials, and get busy in something which is sometimes not even worth. So, don’t give yourself an excuse, oh, I was so busy, I didn’t have time to drink water – that’s wrong – no one cares about your body as much as you do, so treat it well. And drink plenty of water.
H2O is your life saver
Pay it forward, that’s the rule we all should live by. Recycle the good energy around you. Help each other in raising a good and happy circle.
Spread Cheer and Love
Stop Rushing, hasty work leads to nasty results. Give yourself time, relax, meditate … frustrating your own being is not going to do any good.
It’s not worth it.
Love yourself – and here it is … Self-love is important but vanity is not. So find your balance, and love yourself. Don’t let anybody make you feel inferior, as that’s the kind of toxicity we all need to stay away from. So look in the mirror and tell yourself,
I love you …
So, here’s the thing, if you think good, the best will happen to you. That’s how it works, that’s how life should be, hardships are there but then the strength is also there.
So let go of fear, smile and embrace life.
