SidSirus.com presents a healthy conversation with Dubai-based supermodel and TV presenter Rania Gamal, where she has shared her tips for a sexier and healthier body and how to sustain it all throughout the year.
SidSirus: The Holiday sumptuous season is over, is it the official time to stay away from everything but gym?
“The days of devouring on holiday cakes, chocolates and other calorie-filled nosh is now over and it is the time of the year when everyone wants to hit the gym and go back to a healthy diet” Rania Gamal explains “despite that, you actually do not need to spend a fortune in gym and trainers or deprive yourself with tasteless shakes and salads that could just make things more bitter” Rania added.
SidSirus: How do we start, what should be the first step?
Rania: “The first secret that diet companies, slimming tablets, exercise videos and books would not tell you as they need to ‘grow their business’ and make you more vulnerable to acquiring more fats is — balance. It is the right balance of exercise, right amount of food and right amount of giving reward to yourself when you have successfully done the former and the latter – and yes it includes cakes and chocolates too”
SidSirus: What is the ideal diet regime?
Rania: “I would start the morning drinking lemon-infused lukewarm water as it gives you energy for the day, detoxifies the toxins and promotes fast metabolism. You should also not eat processed food including artificial juices and synthetic cookies even how bright and beautiful is the advertising outside the package that says ‘less calories’, ‘healthier’, ‘slimming’ or ‘no additional sugar’. Some of the products are honest but some are misleading so you should be able to know the difference and peruse. It is great to go at gym regularly before work so you still have energy or for housewives or people who wants to save money, you can make it a habit to exercise before breakfast even for half an hour, you can jog every night before sleeping whilst enjoying fresh air, good music and nicer weather during these months, you can also try boxing at home as its much cheaper to buy boxing gloves and punching bag, know that whatever men can do – women can do too” the supermodel added, who was recently commended as the official host of XPEDITION Middle East International Women Empowerment Press Conference held in Vesna Restaurant and Lounge at Conrad Hotel.
SidSirus: Is it necessary to spend quality time gym?
Rania: “You do not need to spend a fortune if it is out of your budget, you can surely exercise wherever you are, even during your breaks inside the office and always eat in the right portion and right balance. Remember you have to make it everyday and then healthy living just becomes a habit”
