Michael Rice, Pullman Resident Artist for May and June 2014, dazzled at his Exhibitions Opening Night
Pullman Dubai Deira City Centre hotel hosted an opening night for it’s second Pullman Resident Artist. Irish Ceramic Artist Michael Rice – stunned the audience by his live ceramic activity. As creating an artwork live has become the trend at the opening nights for the art initiative at Pullman, Michael Rice created a unique piece live with the help of the guests to the accompaniment of solo flute player Roland Bryce.
“The turnout and the feedback we have been receiving concerning the Pullman Resident Artist initiative is a testimony that Pullman is on the right trackwith this project,” commented Mr. Laurent Chaudet, General Manager of Pullman Dubai Deira City Centre hotel. “The integration of a live interactive show by the artist during the opening night creates further understanding and connection between the guests and the art, and we are happy that Pullman is playing a role in this interaction.”
Michael Rice’s work is Ceramic, one of the oldest forms of art, moulding pieces into contemporary works with form and symmetry, creating beautifully aesthetic pieces that tell stories through an ancient medium for modern times.
Pullman Resident Artist Michael Rice’s exhibition will be running till June 20that the Pullman Dubai Deira City Centre hotel lobby in partnership with CASPAIOU, Dubai International Art Centre and Repton School Dubai.
